Kelly Tilghman apologizes for Tiger Lynching Comment

I really like Kelly Tilghman, she does a great job on the Golf Channel is the first woman doing play-by-play for golf in history. That's why it was so disappointing that during Sunday's live broadcast of the final round of the Mercedes-Benz Championship, Kelly made an ill-advised off the cuff joke saying that the players in the field should "lynch Tiger Woods in a back alley", so that they can improve their chances of winning.

Kelly has since come out to apologize officially as has the Golf Channel. Kelly said that they were "poorly chosen words" and she "apologized directly to Woods."

The Golf Channel, in a official statement, said "we regret if any viewers were offended by Kelly's choice of words."

Mark Steinberg, Woods' agent, said, "It is a complete non-issue. Kelly and Tiger are friends. It might have been a poor choice of words, but there was absolutely no ill intent whatsoever."

Good to see that it's all water under the bridge now.
